Erfan Daliri is a author, poet, and social change consultant with 25 years experience in community development, youth engagement, multicultural affair and social cohesion. He is the founder of Newkind Social Change Conference, and the CEO of Kind Enterprises, a company he founded with the purpose of designing and implement programs and initiatives for positive social impact in the workplace and in the community. He passionately writes and speaks on the themes of social cohesion, economic justice, race unity, gender equity and systems thinking for social change.
As a youth worker, professional development trainer, anti-racism strategist, a performing artist and even as a festival director Erfan continues to find new ways to move the dial forward, inspire and support changemakers and create safe and equitable spaces for community, creativity, compassion and cohesion for 25 years.
Erfan has a Master’s Degree in Communication for Social Change, has published three books, is on the Board of the Centre for Social Equity and is one of Australia’s most sought after speakers on race equity and anti-racism.

The idea that unconscious bias exists in all of us is no longer a question to be asked but rather a scientific matter of fact. And because it is costing the business world $64B dollars annually in the rehiring process alone means that companies are finally ready to talk about it and understand how their human resources and diversity & inclusion staff can mitigate its impact. The true cost of unconscious bias includes the human resources to rehire, decreased productivity due to low employee satisfaction, as well as the loss of potential talent unwilling to even apply to work for employers with negative diversity and inclusion reports. Beyond these business indicators, the social and emotional cost of unconscious bias on our world is far too great to even hypothesise at this stage.
